Interactive installation
Adobe Photoshop, print on cover stock
An interactive installation that experiments with viewer's established modes of behavior and thinking inside a contemporary art museum. Among other works of artists in a group show of eleven in a gallery, WELCOME TO SANDBOX TOWN takes the form of a gallery map placed by the entrance of the gallery space. Instead of indicating the placement and providing explanation for each of the pieces, it depicts the show to be an imaginary town "Sandbox Town" with all the pieces becoming local shops and places of interest according to their visual features to inspire alternate ways of interpretation. For example, an installation piece with walls and objects covered in tin foil was labeled in the map as "Food Court".
